WerkProtect

WerkProtect is a Dutch webshop for disposable personal protective equipment, aimed at people who need professional-grade PPE but not in industrial quantities. Almost everyone in the PPE market sells by the master carton: 500 face masks, a thousand shoecovers. That works for a hospital, not for a tattoo studio, a foodtruck, a grooming salon or someone painting their own hallway. The category was built around bulk buyers, and everyone below that threshold was either overbuying or paying consumer prices for lower quality.

The assignment:
Build a webshop that lets small professionals and hobbyists buy the smallest original packaging without minimum order quantities or subscriptions, at prices that still undercut the bigger PPE shops. It also had to speak to a very fragmented audience, from bakers and dentists to gardeners and DIY-ers, each with different needs and none of them fluent in PPE terminology.

What we did:
We built and run WerkProtect end to end. The shop runs on WordPress and WooCommerce with a tiered quantity-discount structure, incl. and excl. VAT toggling for business buyers, Mollie for payments (iDEAL, credit card, Apple Pay) and DHL, PostNL and DPD for shipping. Instead of organising the site purely by product category, we built a second layer of audience landing pages, around twenty of them, each written for a specific trade or hobby so visitors recognise their own situation before they hit a product list. Alongside the build we handle the operational and compliance side: Dutch withdrawal and returns policy, certification information, SEO and content, and ongoing performance work on the live shop.

Experimental side
This project has an experimental side as well. Sincenew technologies are being introduced we were looking for a project in which we could integrate this.In this case AI has helped us with business case, imagery and videos. Did we get a better understanding in the ordering flow, the fulfilment side and the shipping.
